In line with Government guidelines, Printworks will be open from 12th April for outdoor drinks and dining at Wagamama and Hard Rock Cafe, with Nuffield Health open to get your gym routine back on the go. Meena, our convenience store, is also here if you need to pick up any essentials and you can keep enjoying Wasabi via UberEats. As always, your safety is our top priority. Here’s how we’ll be keeping you safe at our venues.

Printworks has a special place in its heart for soul music, being the host venue for the Manchester Soul Festival for the last 5 years running. Only a global pandemic could stop soul fans from descending on the city for a day of nostalgia, friendship and soul. So, for Christmas this year the Manchester Soul Festival committee have decided to rank their top Christmas soul-filled tunes, a small consolation but some stellar records. Here we go…

The Temptations – Silent night (1980)

Brook Benton – Soul Santa (1971)

Otis Redding – Merry Christmas baby (1968)

Carla Thomas – gee whiz its Christmas (1963)

The Jackson 5 – Santa Claus is coming to town (1970)

Stevie Wonder – One little Christmas tree (1967)

Marvin Gaye – I want to come home for Christmas (1972)

The Supremes – Children’s Christmas Song (1965)

James Brown – Santa Claus goes straight to the ghetto (1968)

Luther Vandross – Every year, every Christmas (1995)
