Vue is dedicated to giving each and every one of our guests an exceptional big screen experience, with accessible and autism-friendly screenings, and free tickets for CEA carers.

CEA Carer Cards

Vue are delighted to be part of the national CEA card scheme, which is accepted at all of our UK venues. The CEA card will allow you to book tickets online, in person at the venue or by calling the booking line to get your carer a ticket for free. For further information regarding the CEA card scheme, please visit the CEA website.

Subtitled listings

Vue schedule subtitled cinema screenings for people who are hard of hearing. In most cases, foreign films not in English will also have subtitles. Subtitled cinema sessions will be marked as ST.

Audio Description

Vue offer Audio Description (AD) on a select number of films each week. The normal film soundtrack is broadcast to speakers in the usual way, while a recorded narrator explains what’s happening on screen through personal headphones. Audio described showings will be marked as AD.

Assistance Dogs

Vue welcomes assistance dogs all across all venues.

Wheelchair Access and Accessible Toilets

Vue Manchester Printworks has wheelchair access throughout the venue and in all screens. There are designated wheelchair spaces at the front of all screens, with space at the back in selected screens. There are fully accessible toilets on the first, second, and third levels.

Autism Friendly screenings

Vue host autism friendly screenings on the last Sunday of every month. These autism friendly film screenings are sensory friendly with the sound reduced, lighting dimmed and no adverts or trailers. It is okay for guests to move around and make noise in autism friendly cinema.

What makes a cinema screening autism friendly?
Sometimes you might also see an autism friendly screening being described as a relaxed screening or a sensory friendly screening. This means there are some adjustments in place to help reduce the stress and sensory input people with autism and other sensory sensitivities can experience.

Some autism friendly adjustments include:

There are no trailers
The lights and volume are turned down
You can sit where you want and move around
Staff are trained in autism understanding
Carers can get free entry with a valid CEA Card.
Dimensions provides free online training for every cinema in the UK

How do I book tickets?
Tickets are available to book around 5 days in advance. There are a number of ways you can book tickets for Vue’s autism friendly screenings.
