Following the government’s latest COVID-19 announcement, Printworks will be scaling down from January 4th, until further government updates. However you can still treat yourself to delicious takeaways from Wasabi and Hard Rock Cafe via Deliveroo, Uber Eats or collection. We want to thank you for all your support during this challenging time. Rest assured that we will be ready to fully re-open, just as soon as we can. Until then, take care of yourselves and each other.
Symptom checks and cleanliness. Before entering the centre, you’ll be asked if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently returned from a country where you are currently required to self-isolate. If so, you’ll be unable to enter the centre. For centres in England and Wales, you will also need to scan the NHS Test & Trace QR code before entering. If you don’t have a smart phone, please ensure we have the most up-to-date contact details for when you swipe in on your next visit. Members will be encouraged to sanitise their hands at reception and additional hand sanitiser units have been positioned at key areas across the centre.
Cleaning and disinfecting. We’ll be sanitising gym equipment throughout the day and cleaning the entire centre every night. All staff have had cleaning training and they’ll be using a two-stage cleaning process including a detergent, followed by a disinfectant.
Social distancing. You’ll see new social distancing signs around the gym, including one-way systems where possible. We’re also limiting the number of members in each area, such as the gym floor, studios, swimming pool and changing rooms. And we’ve reduced the amount of equipment and lockers available.
Changes to classes. We’re running smaller classes to keep everyone safe and the classes will be shorter than usual (30–45 mins) to make sure we have enough time to clean the studios. We’re only running certain classes to ensure social distancing – be sure to check our updated timetable.
Limited services and facilities. Saunas and steam rooms remain closed, everything else is open but facilities may vary by centre. Please check with your centre what’s available.
Protecting you and our teams. We’ve installed plastic shields at our reception desks and we’ll be providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to our staff where necessary.
Ventilation. We are in the unique position to be able to utilise the ventilation expertise that we have gained through operating our hospitals safely across the UK to prevent the risk of infection. In collaboration with our Consultant Microbiologist, the Hospital Infection Prevention teams, our Ventilation Authorising Engineer and the Property Department, we can assure all of our members that the ventilation systems in all our centres operate to Health and Safety Executive and Government guidelines for reopening our gyms.
