Oasis fans who missed out on tickets to the biggest reunion of the year can still feel Supersonic, as Printworks hosts a free Oasis sing-along party on Thursday 3 July. The city centre venue will come alive with live music, crowd karaoke, fan giveaways and a showstopping Britpop-themed digital display, voiced by Manchester legend Bez.
Tribute band Whatever Oasis Tribute will perform two live sets at 6pm and 7pm, with lyrics projected onto the venue’s giant screen so fans can sing along to every anthem – from Wonderwall to Don’t Look Back in Anger.
During the mass karaoke , Europe’s largest digital ceiling will light up with a Britpop-inspired visual experience featuring animated 90s imagery, Union Jack motifs, and kaleidoscopic colours celebrating the golden era of British music and culture.
The celebration continues throughout the Heaton Park gig dates (11, 12, 16, 19, 20 July), with a free tub of soft-serve ice cream from Big Licks for anyone wearing a signature bucket hat. On 3 July only, bucket hat wearers can also enjoy a free shot at Tank & Paddle to mark the sing-along event.
