This week, Printworks was bursting with Britpop energy as we hosted a free Oasis sing-along, bringing fans together to relive the raw spirit of Manchester’s most legendary bands.
The atmosphere was electric as Whatever, the UK’s leading Oasis tribute band, took to the stage and delivered anthem after anthem. From Wonderwall to Don’t Look Back in Anger, every lyric echoed through the venue, with the crowd singing along like it was 1996.
Die-hard fans, new generations of listeners, and music lovers alike gathered to celebrate the iconic sound of the ‘90s, paying tribute to the band that defined an era.

Show Us What You’ve Got
Printworks is on the lookout for the UK’s most talented art students to bring bold ideas to life on Europe’s largest digital ceiling – our 1,000m² wraparound LED canvas seen by millions each year.
One winner will have their work transformed into a breathtaking, immersive art experience, right in the heart of Manchester.
Entries are now open and close at midnight on Sunday 3rd August. The competition is open to students currently enrolled in college, university or art school across the UK.
Printworks will transform the winning artwork and reimagine it into an animated masterpiece – synchronised with sound and motion and displayed in epic scale above the venue’s thousands of daily visitors.

From psychedelic visuals to nostalgic nods to classic album art and fashion, it’s a celebration that captures the energy and attitude of the era.
Throughout July, our iconic digital ceiling will be dedicated entirely to the spirit of the 1990s, immersing visitors in a month-long homage to Britpop brilliance, rave culture, and the unforgettable moments that made the decade truly iconic.

Throughout the exciting Oasis tour dates taking place this July at Heaton Park, on the 11th, 12th, 16th, 19th, and 20th of the month, all Printworks visitors sporting a signature bucket hat will be treated to a special offer from Big Licks.
