Not only are they increasing the portion of Salmon on the Big Eaters menu, but they have also introduced a New flattened Schnitzel steak to replace the current one for all the big kids with a hearty appetite. Want a plant-based alternative? Vegan Nuggets are back by popular demand! Made using pea & wheat protein, and coated in a light batter, these are a great alternative to chicken (and they won’t even know the difference!) They are also adding potato donuts as a new side option to add a little fun to dinner time.
Speaking of fun, let them go a little crazy with a burger for dessert! Chocolate and sweet biscuits ice creams all made into the shape of a burger, glazed and topped with sesame seeds. And for those hot summer days, try the new Pip push-up lollies in either Tropical (pineapple, banana & mango) or Berry (strawberry, blackcurrant & apple). All made with 100% organic fruit, no added sugar or sweeteners or colourings or flavours!

It’s a long six weeks of summer ahead so, to make sure you can keep up with the kids, Frankie & Benny’s are making some exciting and important changes to the way they serve coffee. By moving over to a New Tierra Selection, which is 100% Arabica beans, not only is it a tastier bean but it’s also Rainforest Alliance Certified to help with their continued commitments to Climate Change.
Chiquito will be closed for 3 days, from Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th June, while the works take place, ready to reopen for the first weekend of July and to officially start the summer off in style!
The Bar will have a funky update with a whole New L-shaped bar installed. To celebrate our upcoming refurbishment project, Printworks are launching a new larger-than-life artwork in our main Pump Yard; Printworks Big Art. Famous event producers Wild in Art, (who brought Bee in the City to Manchester in 2018), are leading this project, and are on the lookout for an artist to develop this amazing new visual public artwork.
The art commission will reflect the objectives of the Printworks’ and Manchester City Council’s Public Art Policy and Strategy, which seeks to ensure the inclusion of artists in the development of the built environment.
The Art Commission offers a fantastic opportunity for a professional artist to design, develop and deliver a permanent public artwork for the site. The Commissioners are looking for a stunning, visually engaging artwork that will light up the public space. This opportunity is open to all artists with links to Greater Manchester and it is an exciting opportunity for an artist to have their work featured as part of a major national development project, which will be seen by millions visitors.

The closing date for Stage 1 proposals is 14th March 2022.

This is greaseproof paper printed with news articles of the future, showcasing their Wagamama commitments, and what the world would look like if we all continued to make small choices for big change!

Back in 2017, Andy Burnham pledged to achieve change for the vast numbers of people experiencing homelessness across the city-region. Ever since his election, the Mayor of Greater Manchester has donated 15% of his salary to this cause. Andy’s public campaign ‘The GM Mayor’s Homelessness Fund’ raised £250,000 online, which has evolved into the starting the GMMC in 2018, with a new board of independent trustees and Andy as Patron. In 3 years the GMMC have raised almost £3 million for Manchester, and have 3 new strategic priorities for the future:
Printworks is proud to be a partner in the new ‘Tap to Donate’ scheme, a modern innovation in charitable giving, and now being pioneered in the North West. It is so easy to donate! GMMC have installed contactless donation devices right across Greater Manchester, in various locations.JTNDaWZyYW1lJTIwc3JjJTNEJTIyaHR0cHMlM0ElMkYlMkZ3d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbSUyRm1hcHMlMkZkJTJGdSUyRjElMkZlbWJlZCUzRm1pZCUzRDFpbndHRGNkRUhKWFhkdEpYS0N1N2tvR1pKZTFlSGloQSUyNmVoYmMlM0QyRTMxMkYlMjIlMjB3aWR0aCUzRCUyMjEwMCUyNSUyMiUyMGhlaWdodCUzRCUyMjQ4MCUyMiUyMHN0eWxlJTNEJTIybWFyZ2luJTNBMzBweCUyMDAlMjAyMHB4JTIyJTNFJTNDJTJGaWZyYW1lJTNF

Printworks has played host to a range of amazing film and TV, and to celebrate National TV Day on Sun 21st Nov, we are looking back at some productions we are proud to be part of.

Harlan Coben’s Stay Close is Netflix’s new must-see drama launching on 31st Dec 2021, following the success of The Stranger last year. Imagine another high-inpact thriller with lots of twists, turns and mysteries you didn’t see coming, with James Nesbitt and Eddie Izzard heading up the cast.

No Return is the next big ITV series from Red Production Company, which has attracted huge heat after producing Russell T. Davies’ “It’s a Sin”. Featuring the BAFTA award-winning Sheridan Smith, it is already picking up great media interest in National Press ahead of it’s expected 2022 release date.

Coronation Street is a British institution, as the the world’s longest running television soap, on air for 60 years. But did you know the Corrie opening credits, were filmed on the Corporation Street ramp of Printworks, looking out over the famous Manchester views? See if you can spot us!

Britain’s Got Talent brought us phenomenal acts like Diversity, Paul Potts and Susan Boyle, but did you know the Manchester auditions were held here at Printworks? Showcasing a range of home grown talent right from our doorstep.

Early 00s production Fame Academy followed 25 young hopeful musicians in their journey to join the highly coveted Fame Academy, with a chance to win a £1m recording contract with a major record company. Printworks played host to many of the student auditions, where many of the future stars were handpicked to start their fame journey.

Manchester has established itself as the place for new talent on TV, and we were proud to also host auditions for ITV’s Xtra Factor. Launching the likes of James Arthur, Ella Henderson, and Rylan Clark, with a range of talented celebrity mentor to lead the way.

For those who love a classic British Crime Drama, Cracker was hailed as Jimmy McGovern’s best works, with Robbie Coltrane’s iconic performance as the genius criminal psychologist Fitz, working with the Greater Manchester Police to help solve unusual crimes.

Dom Joly fans may remember the days of Trigger Happy TV, but be less aware of his collaboration with tv-darling Betty Crocker on Off Their Rocker filmed in our very own Yates; a comedy sketch show featuring gang of white-haired seniors with a mission: to play the most hilarious pranks possible on the younger generation.
